Road trip Canada - The East

Eastern Canada with Nova Scotia as the center of this maritime road trip, offers stunning scenic routes, plenty of outdoor actitivites, romantic getaways, and great dining destinations. Discover pristine coastline, famous lighthouses, and fun friendly people. Eastern Canada in a place where there are no wrong turns.

For the experience we recommend to do this road trip during the summer season from late May until September. Halifax is the natural start and end destination, but Saint John in New Brunswick may be an alternative. Accommodation in this part of Canada is suited for camping during summer or simple small town hotels and bed & breakfast. Hostels are available in major towns, but they may fill up during high season.

Lunenburg, Nova Scotia

Known for shipbulding and the famous Canadian racing ship "Bluenose", the town of Lunenburg has a long, proud seafaring history. Lunenburg is indeed a walking town.
