Playa del carmen is the first stop on your round trip

Day 1-3 - Mexico

The trip starts in Mexico and beautiful Playa del Carmen. Check out the historical ruins of Tulum or opt in for some diving or snorkeling activities around Cozumel. Make sure to save some energy for a great night out in town with your group. There's plenty of opportunities in this area. From Mexico you'll cross into Belize on day 3, where Caye Caulker is the first stop!

Belize by night is a beautiful sight

Day 3-8 - Belize

First stop in Belize is Caye Caulker, where you'll spend the next 3½ days. Here you can opt in to snorkel with sting rays or nurse sharks at Hol Chan Marine Reserve. Belize is one of the most easy going countries in Central America, and if you can't relax here, you can't relax anywhere. Caye Caulker is home to crystal clear water and amazing marine life, which will make the days pass so fast, and before you know it, you're on your way to San Ignacio, a small inland beauty. Check out the area by foot or on horse, and make sure you don't miss the sacred Mayan cave Actun Tunichil Mukna.

Day 8-17 - Guatemala

Guatemala is next on the agenda! You have almost 10 days in this cultural rich country, from Flores and the majestic Tikal Ruins to Rio Dulce located close to the biggest lake of Guatemala, Lake Izabal. after a few days here, you'll continue onwards to Antigua - a beautiful and historical town full of colors. This will be the base for the coming days, but with plenty of cool excursions to Panajachel and San Juan La Laguna to name a few.

In Honduras you'll experience green and lush nature

Day 17-19 - Honduras

Honduras will be short but sweet. From Guatemala you'll cross into Honduras where Copan will be your home for the next few days. It's surrounded by beautiful highland, and has a rich colonial history that will unveil some of the less know mayan ruins. You're only here for a few days so make sure that you capture it all!

Day 19-25 - El Salvador

First stop in El Salvador is the old colonial town of Suchitoto. A charming town located next to a beautiful lake. You'll start off with a free day, where you can explore the town in your own tempo, but make sure you try the local dish, pupusas! From Suchitoto you'll continue to the 'Route of Flowers' region. In Ataco de Concepcion, you'll be treated with awesome hikes, coffee tours and swimming in natural pools. Last stop in El Salvador is Playa El Palmarcito, a nice small surf town, where you can learn how to master the waves.

Day 25 - 32 - Costa Rica

From El Salvador you'll fly to Costa Rica, which is the last country on this awesome round trip. You'll head straight to Monteverde, located 1400 meters above sea level, and you'll quickly discover that Monteverde is literally in the clouds. Activities here are plenty, and you can opt in for some ziplining, visit a cloud forest reserve or head for a tour around a coffee plantation. From Monteverde you'll continue onwards to La Fortuna, where the huge volcano, Arenal, is one of the headlights along the way. La Fortuna is full of adventure, and this is a great place to get your adrenaline fix! Guatemala is next stop - and this is a place where ancient Maya ruins are among the highlights. Especially Tikal, one of the most popular Maya ruins in Central America. Continue to Honduras for a quick stop before heading to El Salvador and some of the most colorful colonial cities. 

Last stop on the round trip will be Costa Rica - and what a place to finish off! Lush jungles, awesome hikes and volcanoes are among the things you'll discover here! All in all, this is a dream trip if you want to make the most of Central America in only one month!
