An absolute must are the two well-timed urban scooter tours. There's the morning tour, capturing the Vietnamese rituals of Saigon waking up. And then there is the evening tour, taking you for a ride in nighttime Saigon. Planned outside rush hour, scooter tours will allow you to experience some of the older traditions, spiced up with modern city life, with a touch of urban cool.

Our tours are run by female guides who drive slowly, making sure you get the most out of your scooter tour. We pick you up at the airport, and make sure you get a soft landing and an easy start.

Itinerary

Saigon Urban - 4 Days

Day 1: Saigon arrival and transfer to your homestay

Arrival in Tan Son Nhat airport, where you will be picked up and transferred to your homestay. After check-in, you will have free time to talk to your host, relax and explore the area.

Accommodation: Overnight at Ms. Yang Homestay

Day 2: Good Morning Saigon.

Walk the streets; get an early morning scooter trip peek into local life.
Your guide will pick you up by scooter from your homestay to see the city waking up. Street sweepers are doing their calm work on the street; food vendors are preparing steaming hot breakfast for their customers, while motorbike taxi drivers are waiting for first commuter. You will stop at a food stall in case you didn't have breakfast and you will visit a green local park where you entertain yourself as the locals do, by listening to beautiful bird song while sipping famous Saigon coffee.

You will drive to the biggest flower market in Saigon where each flower shop is in front of individual homes and the alleyways are narrow, just wide enough for motorbikes to pass through. You continue by the main roads with the crazy traffic of the city with a vast number of motorbikes on the streets. People are in a hurry to reach their work places and universities.

You will drive through back alleys in Saigon, including unique alleys such as graffiti and celeb alleys and you will have a chance to see how the majority of Saigon's people live in narrow houses in these alleys. There are many different streets in Saigon like the painting street, old books street, fashion street and classic attractions such as Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Central Post Office, Independence Palace and China Town. You go to a local wet market where you can see how locals sell and buy products and interact with friendly Saigon people and enjoy delicious street foods such as rice noodle soups, Vietnamese pancake, soup cake, sweet soups, coconut jelly, mixed rice paper salad and the cool drinks of sugar cane juice and coconut water.
After a long explorative day kick back at a very special cafe, hidden and peaceful with ancient design. This cafe will ease the intensive heat of summer in Saigon with rows of green trees. Your guide will drive you back to homestay at 11:00AM.

The rest of the day is free for you to continue your city exploration.

Meals: Morning street food included
Accommodation: Overnight at Ms. Yang Homestay

Day 3: Taste Saigon by night and explore the city from the back of a scooter

Spend the day exploring the city, or hang out with the locals at the nearest street corner.

At 17:30 your tour guide will pick you up from homestay and take you for a scooter tour of Saigon's backstreets when the sun is going down. From the backseat, enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of this stunning city. You will learn more about authentic Vietnamese cuisine as well as the rich culture and have a chance to listen to vendors' stories and food history. Immerse yourself into Saigon's life, eat and have fun like the local people. In the cool air at night, the warmth of a bowl of Vietnamese noodle soup beckons. You'll start your food tour with a warm rice noodle soup (Pho, Hue rice noodle soup, clear rice noodle). Top it up with rice paper salad and Vietnamese pizza - two addicting snacks that win the heart of teenagers in Saigon. You can find these foods everywhere on Saigon's streets; at metal rolling carts and street food stalls. Next you will try "Snail Eating" where you choose your preferred snail and method of cooking it - an important part of Saigon culture which is popular among young Saigon people.
Experience the art of ??Nhau' or Beer Food in Saigon. Vietnam is one of the countries that consume the highest amount of beer in the world. You will delve into world of ??Nhau' with ??1, 2, 3, dzo', famous Saigon beer and exotic beer food.
Continue to sample some of the best Saigon street foods at your wish. There are various things for your choice: Vietnamese pancake, stuffed rice pancake, broken rice with grilled pork. A great way to end this amazing food tour is by sampling delicious Vietnamese sweet soup and coconut jelly. It's time to say goodbye. Your guide will drive you back to the hotel (or requested location) at 21:30 PM.

Meals: Evening street food included
Accommodation: Overnight at Ms. Yang Homestay
