You are collected from all hotels and guesthouses in Gauteng, as well as from Johannesburg Airport, to travel via farmlands to the picturesque Lowveld and on to Tremisana Game Lodge in the Balule Section of the Kruger Park. Departure from Joburg is between 7-9AM. If clients do not arrive early morning, a pre-night accom is required. During a short break you have the chance to unwind at the bar, have a swim or relax in the tropical gardens, before we board an open Landcruiser for a 3h sunset drive. A qualified guide shows you various animals and birds and after darkness falls, we use spotlights to locate nocturnal species. For dinner we provide an unforgettable bush braai at our Marula Tree Boma. Afterwards, we continue the night drive and stay overnight in comfortable airconditioned en suite thatch-roofed chalets.
Dinner is included
Start an exhilarating day of unforgettable bush life by awakening at beautiful sunrise. After breakfast we drive to a remote part of the Balule Game Reserve and enjoy a 4h bush walk leaded by an experienced field guide. Follow Africa’s large animals and take pictures, who will remind you of this amazing experience forever. Eventhough the ranger leading you is adequately armed, there won’t be a lack of adrenalin rushes. After brunch at Tremisana Lodge, lunch will be served in the Lapa at 13h30. Afterwards, at around 14h30, we go on an afternoon game drive. Your accommodation for the night is one of the fascinating and romantic treehouses at Marc’s Treehouse Lodge.
Brunch and dinner included
We spend the full day on an open gameviewer at Kruger Park. Due to the added elevation and because it has no windows the open-sided gameviewer allows for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. You get the chance to view the game and also to listen to and smell the African bush and its denizens. During the drive we take regular break at picnic spots and rest camps. We are accommpanied by an experienced ranger, who is able to show and explain many animals and birds that frequent this wildlife paradise. The Orpen-Satara-Nwanedzi region’s open plains attract large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope, that, in turn, attract many predators. In fact, this zone has the highest concentration of lions in Africa.
Breakfast and dinner included
You start the day with an early morning walk accompanied by an armed ranger, before we show you the scenic highlights of Blyde River Canyon, especially the Three Rondawels. In the late afternoon we return you to Gauteng. Airport dropoffs can be arranged if you wish.
