Remember, this itinerary is only a route proposal for your big trip. If you wish to receive personal assistance designing your road trip, please get in contact with our adventurous travel experts. They love designing dream trips and they give you great insider travel advice.
After landing in Denpasar airport head straight to Canggu with the included arrival transfer. This is the best place to start your Bali adventure. You start the journey in one of the coolest surf camps in Bali, where you have 5 days to master the board and the waves. Canggu serves all surf levels so whether you are a beginner or an advanced surfer; you will have plenty of waves to play with.
Enjoy the beautiful sunset at The Lawn while sipping your colorful cocktail. Later on, it gets wet and wild in Finn’s BeachClub. With 4 pools, 9 bars, 5 restaurants and live DJ shows this place is dubbed to be “The World’s Best Beach Club”.
The next day you meet your new tribe for the next 9 days. Immerse yourself in Indonesian culture, get a taste of the surf vibe and head out to amazing ancient temples. After another epic night out, it is time to change the scenery and venture off to Lovina.
Your next destination is the relatively unknown natural wonder of Lovina, an untouched paradise of stunning rice paddies and fascinating culture. On the way you will visit fascinating temples and epic waterfalls. The accommodation here is stunning and unique: set high in the mountains surrounded by rice paddies and overlooking the ocean.
The next day, you and your new travel buddies embark on a traditional Balinese boat to explore the beautiful coastline and spot dolphins. Meet a local family and learn about their traditional Balinese lifestyle. After this long day it is time to chill in the villa’s infinity pool.
Next up: a ferry ride to the island of Gili Trawangan. One of the 3 Gili’s. The island is super small yet has a lot to offer. Again, the nightlife here is on point. And so are the stunning white beaches. We will take you on a bike tour around the island and go snorkeling. You may even spot a turtle!
For those who want to get more than just a taste of the underwater world we recommend extending your stay at Gili T. It is one of the best places in the world to become a PADI certified diver, so we included a 5-day Learn to Dive package in this itinerary. Talk to your travel specialist if you are already certified or rather stay on land. They can also set up fun dives or book some yoga sessions instead.
Feeling adventurous? Why not take the ferry to Lombok, the big island located to the east of the Gili’s. The beaches on Lombok are paradise for sure. Nothing compares after you have stayed in Tanjung Aan Beach.
Want more diving or more surfing? Then we recommend heading over to Nusa Lembongan on your way back to Bali. Lucky divers may spot manta rays here. This island is getting more and more popular with backpackers, but still has that authentic traveler’s vibe. Trust us: you will feel right at home here.
*These are suggested experiences and not included in the package price.
Now it is time for some proper monkey business. Take another ferry back to Bali and head out to Ubud on your own and experience the jungle vibes of this town. Do yoga. Rent a scooter to explore the surroundings.
Check out the beachtown Uluwatu and treat yourself with some awesome backpacker vibes. Don’t forget to visit the famous Pura Luhur temple early in the morning to avoid the crowds. When you're done exploring Bali you can either jump on the plane home, or continue the journey onwards. If you want more than Bali, just let us know and we'll make sure that you keep going.
