14-day adventure tour Mexico City to San Cristobal

Your adventure starts in the heart of Mexico, where chaotic energy, incredible food and colourful streets pull you straight into the atmosphere from day one. In Mexico City you’ll dive into the history of the Aztec Empire, wander through huge plazas and busy local markets, and spend your evenings eating tacos and listening to mariachi with your new travel crew. From there, the journey heads south through Puebla and Oaxaca, where mountain views, mezcal tastings and some of the country’s best food take over. You’ll explore local markets, learn about indigenous traditions and cool off in the natural pools of Hierve el Agua before continuing into the highlands of Chiapas. By the time you reach San Cristóbal de las Casas, with its cobbled streets and relaxed atmosphere, it feels like you’ve already experienced several different versions of Mexico in one trip.

Explore the Yucatan peninsula Continue your group adventure

The second part of the group adventure swaps mountains and colonial towns for white sand, Caribbean water and full-on tropical energy as you fly across to the Yucatán Peninsula. First up is Isla Holbox, where sandy roads, beach bars and boat trips become daily life. You’ll cruise around the island spotting flamingos and swimming in clear blue water before continuing south toward Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Along the way you’ll explore the legendary ruins of Chichén Itzá, swim in jungle cenotes and snorkel alongside sea turtles in the warm Caribbean Sea. The trip finishes with beach clubs, sunsets and one last taste of Mexico’s coast, ending in Playa del Carmen before it's time to cross off the next country and explore Costa Rica!

Experience the best of Costa Rica San José to Tamarindo

You land in San José, the capital of Costa Rica. Here you'll meet up with another cool group of backpackers, who will join you in the next 11 days, where you'll roam around Costa Rica exploring everything that's worth exploring. If you're into adventure, you can look forward to both Monteverde and La Fortuna, where you'll experience the lush jungles and a ton of cool adrenaline pumping activities. Your trip ends in Tamarindo, where you'll find your own way to Santa Teresa.

Surf's up... Again! Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Santa Teresa is one of those small picturesque towns by the beach where life passes by extremely slow. Visit The Bakery (yes, that is the name) for a nice breakfast, and show off you're newly acquired surf skills when the breaks allows for it here. Santa Teresa is a place loved by surfers from all over the world, and you'll quickly discover why. At some point, unfortunately, everything good comes to an end and you'll find your way back to San José where you can catch your flight back home. If you want, that is. If you want to continue your trip, just let us know, and we'll sort it for you.
