You fly to Panama City where you'll get picked up in the airport by the crew from our supplier. Meet up with the rest of the group, and embrace that the following 4 weeks will be a mix of learning Spanish while traveling around some of the most awesome places in Panama and Costa Rica.

Week 1: Panama City to San Blas Islands, Panama

You will start your Spanish courses in Panama City. After classes you will see the most important historical marks of Panama and enjoy rooftop bars and local restaurants. You will also get to visit Miraflores Visitor center to learn about the famous Panama Canal and see the huge ships pass through the locks. And of course, you need to try out Latin dance classes with a local dance instructor. You will also be amazed by the Kuna indigenous people and the idyllic tropical beauty of the San Blas Islands. A tour for to another island where you can snorkel along a sunken ship is included. This is not a formal class, but the teacher will join the trip and will be as much as possible giving information in Spanish and, if the group wants, organize ...

Week 2: Boquete, Panama

In week two you will travel from Panama City to Boquete on local buses. In the evening you will get an introduction to the Boquete school, surroundings and history of the area. The fresh climate in Boquete is great for studying, lots of progress can be made here. Options are to stay at the school or go and live for a week with a local host family. The zip lining experience is a high-speed adrenaline tour to discover Panama's rainforest from up above and admire its magnificent beauty from 13 different canopy stations. Hiking, waterfalls, hot springs, a coffee tour, volcano Barú are attractions worth to explore.

Week 3: Bocas del Toro, Panama

The following week you will travel via bus and boat from the highland town of Boquete to the Caribbean Island of Bocas del Toro. On Sunday, the catamaran tour with snorkeling will ease everybody into the Caribbean lifestyle. During the week, exploring the many beaches and other attractions around the islands in kayaks, bicycles or water taxis is very popular. The Dive school, a few steps away from our Spanish school offers all PADI courses in a way that they can be smoothly combined with the Spanish classes.

Week 4: Turrialba, Costa Rica

Final stop is Costa Rica! In Turrialba, Costa Rica, the non-touristy feel of town can be enjoyed and all the Spanish that have been learned so far can be practised with the local “ticos”, a nickname for Costa Ricans. During the last day of classes on Friday, the possibility is offered to do a level test (levels A1 till C2) and at the final Happy Hour during the barbecue, certificates will be handed to all the participants, the effort realized will be celebrated and together, we get ready for the last spectacular excursion: the rafting trip on the Pacuare. Travelling Classroom is a unique blend of travel adventures and studying Spanish in four different locations - Panama City, Boquete and Bocas del Toro in Panama, and Turrialba in Costa Rica.

This program is for students who want to travel and learn Spanish. Sharing daily activities like shopping and cooking with a Spanish speaking instructor, you will be immersed in a fun and inspiring atmosphere for learning Spanish. This is a non-traditional classroom that will make learning a new language fun and give you the opportunity to truly experience a cultural engagement.

You will start your travelling classroom in Panama City. Outside your Spanish lessons you will get to explore historical parts of Panama and the famous Panama Canal, you will take Latin dance lessons and snorkel at the San Blas Islands. You start engaging with locals using your basic Spanish skills – making it so much faster to learn.  

Further on you will get to travel to Boquete on local busses. You will get the option to live with a local family – an experience that will immerse you into the local culture more than anything. Beside visiting local schools and taking your Spanish lessons you will get the possibility to go hiking, see waterfalls and hot springs, do a coffee tour and explore Barú volcano.

Your third stop is the Caribbean Island of Bocas del Toro. The Spanish school can be combined with PADI courses at the local Dive school, and you can explore many attractions around the island.

Your final stop is Costa Rica. At this time your Spanish skills will have improved significantly, and you will be given the option to take a voluntary language test (A1 to C2) and everyone will earn their certificates. Of course, you will also get to enjoy amazing excursions with stunning beauty and perhaps a thrilling rafting trip.

In the end you will have upskilled your self in so many ways. You will have a better understanding of the Spanish language, you will have experienced a cultural engagement and explored local and non-touristy towns as well as world known places. Finally, you will have a personal development like no other and probably new friends for life.
