After a long flight your driver will meet you at the airport and take you to the hostel. Get settled in, relax and get to know your new surroundings! We have arranged for you to receive a bank card, tax number and SIM card once you arrive to New Zealand. So instead of starting your adventure by standing in line at the bank, you can look forward to 8 epic intro days that you will never forget!

Auckland, Welcome orientation & City tour

Rise and shine! Today you'll meet your guide, as well as the group of fellow working holiday peeps you'll do the intro week with! We’ll cover all essential stuff you need to live and work in New Zealand, including signing you up to the Work and Travel Jobs Program. After the intro, it’s finally time to explore Auckland on a city tour. You’ll see the main hot spots, get tips on where to find the best coffee, which foods to try, where to go out & much more.

Auckland, Sky Tower & Work & Travel info session

Get ready to kick off Day 3 with a visit to Auckland's iconic Sky Tower! Soak in the breathtaking 360-degree views of the city and beyond from the observation deck, and if you're feeling adventurous, try the SkyJump or SkyWalk. After taking in the sights, we'll gather for an essential Work & Travel info session. You'll get all the insider tips on finding jobs, setting up bank accounts, and making the most of your time in New Zealand. This session is packed with practical advice to ensure you hit the ground running.

Auckland, Devonport & Party Night

On Day 4, we take a short ferry ride to the charming seaside village of Devonport. Explore its historic sites, climb up to the top of Mount Victoria for stunning views, and enjoy the relaxed vibe. In the evening, get ready to let loose with a party night back in Auckland! It's the perfect opportunity to bond with your fellow travelers, share stories, and make memories.

Auckland, Bay of Islands Cruise

Day 5 is all about the stunning Bay of Islands. We travel north to this beautiful region known for its sandy beaches, clear waters, and rich history. You'll have time to explore, relax on the beach, or take part in optional activities like kayaking or visiting the historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds.

Auckland, Hole in the Rock

On Day 6, we take you on an exciting boat trip to the famous Hole in the Rock. This natural wonder is a must-see and offers a thrilling experience as we navigate through the hole (weather permitting). Keep an eye out for dolphins and other marine life during the journey. The boat trip is not just about the destination but also the adventure of being out on the open sea and soaking in the stunning coastal scenery.

Auckland, Explore more of Paihia & Auckland

Day 7 gives you the chance to explore the charming town of Paihia at your own pace. Wander across the local market, visit nearby waterfalls, or simply relax on the beach. In the afternoon, we head back to Auckland, where you'll have more time to discover the city's hidden gems or revisit your favourite spots from earlier in the week.

Auckland Where to go from here...

You’re now ready to go off travel and work around New Zealand. It usually takes a few more weeks before you can start a job - and we suggest that you spend time traveling instead of just waiting around. For example, rent a car and travel across north (or south) island to discover the most amazing places. Or why not improve your surf skills and apply for jobs at the same time? Let us know what you're up to and we make sure to hook you up with our best adventures in New Zealand!
