Hi! My name is Jolien, I am currently 23 years old and I am from Antwerp, Belgium. I would describe myself as a creative person with a lot of energy (A LOT). Drawing, painting, making videos, and other creative content is a passion of mine. I also love to meet new people and discover new things that can inspire my creative side. That is probably why I’ve always loved traveling so much.
So after two years of sitting at home, chilling, I’m ready to travel again. Asia has always been on the top of my bucket list so this summer I’m traveling to South Korea for three months. Yes, three months, because to truly experience a country, its culture and its people, you need to take your time.
South Korea has so much to offer. I plan to spend some time exploring the big cities, Seoul, Busan, Daegu, and more. I want to take in those city vibes, eat all the good food, and see all the things tourists need to see. On top of that, I also want to explore the more rural sides of the country. I am a big nature lover so I’m planning to hike a lot and I hope to stay with a local family in the middle of nowhere (if they will have me). Finally, I’m dying to visit Jeju island and just soak in the sun and swim in the sea all day long. Thinking about it, three months in South Korea may not even be enough.
Traveling to South Korea has always been a dream. I hope to meet many exciting people along the way while discovering new things about the world, and about myself. Because that’s what traveling is all about.
