Please note. The high season for campervan rental in Australia runs from October to March. The earlier you book, the better prices. When availability goes down, the campervans become more expensive. Don't wait too long to book!
The front cabin of the Double Down seats 2 people while the seats in the living space seats the remaining 2 passengers. It's a compact vehicle with manual transmission. If you are not familiar with the steering wheel to the right and driving in the left side of the road, don't worry, it will only take you a short while to get comfortable.
Both double beds are located in the back of the van and the lower bed can be transformed into a table for four people during the day. The upper bed also folds away to give roof for head space during the day. Under the bunks you have space to store luggage.
Supplied in the camper you will find linen and bedding, kitchen essentials including crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils plus all the general living gear you’ll need.
Don’t forget to pack soft bags instead of a suitcase – much easier to store in the campervan.
In the central part of the Double Down campervan and just behind the drivers cabin you will find the kitchenette. The interior height of this campervan allows you to stand up while cooking. The kitchenette is equipped with two gas stove burners, a sink, microwave, cutlery and cooking utensils, and a refrigerator where you can store enough groceries for four people.
There are 8 Mighty rental centers in Australia: Alice Springs / Adelaide / Melbourne / Sydney / Brisbane / Cairns / Darwin / Perth.
It is possible to book one-way rentals between all the Mighty rental centers. A one-way rental fee applies (AUD 165-300).
Drivers must be 18 years of age or over to rent and drive this campervan.
The rental price varies according to demand and season. You'll get the lowest price if you book your Double Down campervan well in advance when availability is high. It's also cheaper to travel during low season. On the other hand, if you book close to your departure date or book your camper for high season, you'll pay more. It's just like flight tickets!
