Are you dreaming of an adventurous honeymoon?
You’ve said yes. You’ve survived the wedding planning. Now comes the part that’s just for the two of you.
For couples who crave more than a beach chair and a cocktail, an adventurous honeymoon is about shared experiences, firsts together, and stories you’ll still be telling years from now. It’s not about escaping the world, it’s about stepping into it, side by side.
Start your marriage with a story
As we see it, Honeymoons are more than just a trip. It's the first chapter of married life, and kind of sets the tone for your adventure together. Shared adventures build stronger bonds than passive relaxation. Trekking, exploring, or discovering new cultures together creates moments that feel truly yours. But we also acknowledge that an adventurous honeymoon is about doing thingsyour way and not by following a traditional script. One day you’re hiking through jungles or diving in crystal-clear waters; the next you’re enjoying a quiet dinner somewhere unforgettable. In our opinion adventure and romance are not opposites, they amplify each other.
So, how does an adventurous honeymoon look like?
Well, you guessed it. There is no single definition. It could be a safari adventure followed by beach relaxation. It could be island hopping with a mix of snorkeling and local culture. It could be a road trip through epic landscapes with boutique stays along the way. Or it could be a multi-country journey combining big cities, jungles, beaches and downtime. It's up to you essentially. We believe the key is balance - adventure, comfort and moments to enjoy life as newly married. Here's 5 tips to create an unforgettable adventurous honeymoon.
1. Travel at your own pace
Okay, we know this is simple. But a honeymoon isn't a race. We always advise that you plan for spontaneity, rest and those slow mornings that makes your honeymoon feel special.
2. Comfort still matters
Adventure doesn't mean roughing it and sleep in dorm rooms without A/C. Instead, think boutique hotels, unique lodges or cute eco-stays. Especially between active days we recommend to have a comfortable bed to sleep in. And you can definitely plan for experiences that feel special without being over the top budget-wise.
3. Let the logistics be handled
Admitted, this is a bit shameless self-promotion, but when you have just planned a wedding which we know can be an enormous task, the last thing you want to jump straight into is complicate travel planning. And honestly, this is also what we are pretty good at. Having your flights, transfers, activities and accommodation sorted gives you more time to focus on each other and not stressing over booking platforms on the go.
4. Experience things together - for the first time
A good idea is to try something new for the first time as a couple. Whether it's taking a diving certificate, learning Spanish or learn the skill of surfing. If you are both completely new to whatever you want to learn, you can team up and support each other in the process building a strong sense of team feeling - something you will need for the rest of your life.
5. Make space for romance
Even the most adventurous honeymoons need quiet moments. Whether you're into sunset views, candlelit dinners or just time without plans. We recommend that you make room for those pauses that turns a great trip into a honeymoon.

Begin your journey together
An adventurous honeymoon is a celebration of love, curiosity, and shared dreams. It’s the perfect way to begin a life of exploring the world - together. A bit cliché, but the best souvenirs aren’t things. They’re the stories you carry into the rest of your marriage. Your honeymoon doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s. Whether you’re outdoorsy, curious, cultural, or thrill-seeking - or a mix of everything, the best honeymoon is one that feels authentic to you as a couple. It’s not about ticking boxes but rather it's about starting married life with intention, connection, and adventure.
