Age requirement
The minimum age for an internship in Australia is 18 years since you have to be at least 18 years old when you submit your application for your visa.

What type of internships can I apply for?

We can help you with internships and work placements within almost all areas. Examples og internships are business, marketing, child care, teacher, logistics, environment, fashion, HR or maybe PR. Almost anything is possible.

No or limited internship opportunities
Within the following fields of study there are no or only very limited internship opportunities: architecture, banking, physiotherapy, aviation and space technology, marine biology, medical sector, psychology and chemistry.

What are the requirements for internships in Australia?

  • Strong English level
  • Eligible for Working Holiday Visa 417 or 462
  • Either sto be enrolling in a course relating to the internship field, or currently enrolled in a course relating to the internship field, or recently completed a course relating to the internship field
  • Able to financially support the duration of the voluntary/unpaid internship
  • Minimum duration 12 weeks, maximum 25 weeks
  • Personal liability insurance which covers time at the internship is compulsory

Which visa do I need?
To be able to do an internship in Australia, you need a Working Holiday visa (subclass 417). You must be at least 18 years old and no older than 31 years at the time of your application for this type of visa. You may be 31 years in Australia during the duration of your internship.

When should I apply for my internship?

The earlier you apply, the better. Once you know that you want to do an internship in Australia, please contact us. We recommend that you forward us your CV and application no later than 8 weeks before your internship commences.

 

Are the internships paid?

No. Internships in Australia are voluntary and unpaid. You should be able to finance your stay in Australia.

How much does an internship in Australia cost?

When you apply through us, you will be sure to land in an internship where your role as an intern is highly valued, you will be challenged and your input will be appreciated. Internships through us is not about making coffee and cleaning tables. For 1,500 AUD you will get an internship where you plan the content of your internship together with the company or organisation, support throughout your stay in Australia, an arrival package and social events. You will be invited to events where you will meet other interns, share experiences and create a network.

Can I apply for a scholarship for my internship in Australia?
There may be some scholarships for interns traveling to Australia. We recommend that you google and search for scholarships in your country. Your local study advisor will also give detailed information about scholarships in your country.

What is the duration of an internship in Australia?

The minimum duration is 12 weeks and the maximum duration is 26 weeks. In some cases shorter internships can be arranged. 

How do I find accommodation in Australia?

Either, we can arrange homestay for you or arrange housing in a furnished home near your workplace. You are also welcome to find your own accommodation in Australia. Finding accommodation is never an issue for our interns.

How I can meet other interns in Australia?

You will be invited to fun and interesting events and social activities while you are interning Down Under. This will give you the possibility to make friends for life and network with people from all around the world.
