You can get lots of information before setting off on a hike in the park's Visitor Centre. It is possible to camp in many places in the park, and in addition to hiking, you can go mountain biking, canoeing or horse riding. This wild nature paradise is perfect for a little of everything.
When in Banff you also have to include a trip to the Sulphur Mountains, which can be reached by cable car from Banff Gondola. Here at the top you will find one of the best views in all of Banff. Mount Norquay is another great place to enjoy the view of mountains and valleys.
To the north is another national park, Jasper. The two national parks share the amazing Icefields Parkway, a 230 kilometers long route that passes by many of the greatest natural attractions in these two parks.
