Travel to Broome - Camels in sunset

Broome is located on the tip of a 15 kilometer long peninsula and is surrounded by the Indian Ocean. Broome is a destination where you can enjoy a tropical climate, beautiful beaches and coastline. The atmosphere in the remote Broome is very relaxed and easy going, with a good mix of culture and beauty of nature. Book your trip to Broome with KILROY!

Broome is a laid back town in the Kimberley region. Broome and Kimberley are known for the pearl farms; at Cygnet Bay you can see the largest pearl in the world. The sea by Broome offers lots of fun activities. These include deep sea fishing, diving and when it is low tide you can see dinosaur footprints! And what's more fun than watching the sun go down on the back of a camel?

Cable Beach in Broome

Cable Beach is known as the most beautiful beach in Broome. A sandy strip 22 kilometers long with white sand and blue waters as far as the eye can see. You can go four wheel driving on the beach.

Best time to travel Broome

Broome has a dry season and a rainy season. The dry season is from April to October and you can expect beautiful weather all day with blue skies and pleasant temperatures. In October/November it's still warm but it begins to rain. January and March are known for hurricanes and lots of rain. Besides the weather, there are other factors to take into account when deciding when to go to Broome. It would be a shame to miss the whales migration between June and October. Another thing to consider, are the presence of the (very) poisonous jellyfish in the rainy season between November and May.
