The following is an example of a regular week at the surf camp.
Arrival day. Check in at the Surf Camp and go for a dip in the ocean, go for a walk or simply just chill at the camp and enjoy the pool.
In Costa Rica an early start is the best way to get the best waves. The wind usually picks up for a few hours during the day, so the best surfing is in the morning and late afternoon. We wake up around 07:00 and have a light breakfast. At 08:00 we start the lesson. You will be assigned to your instructor and divided into groups depending on your level of surfing. Once at the beach the class will start with an equipment safety introduction and then we will start working on paddling and pop-ups. These are the basics of surfing a wave. After 2.5 hours our brunch will be waiting for you at the camp. Spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool, surf some more or do whatever you feel like.
Early start, lesson, brunch. Relax for a few hours and then try the yoga session to stretch out your tired body. If you still have energy, join us for a sunset surf in the afternoon. At 18:30 we are back at the camp and it's time to get ready for dinner. This is indeed paradise!
Early start and then a lesson, by now you are feeling comfortable with the board and the waves. The more waves you catch the faster you will develop. Every day there are new things to learn. Brunch, some afternoon activities and then dinner.
Day off from the lessons. Sleep in or join us for a morning surf. There are lots of things to do around the corner. Maybe you want to go snorkeling, take a trip to the national park or go ride quads on the sand. You can always use the surfboard so if your body is up for it, go ahead and practice. Maybe some yoga in the afternoon. Food has never tasted better than after a long day of activities.
Breakfast, surf lesson, brunch, sun, fun. That’s our daily routine, but every day in the water is different. Conditions change and you develop and learn more and more.
Last day. Repetition is the mother of all learning. The learning curve is really steep and you will feel that you are improving every day. Paddling faster, reading waves better and acquiring better timing. Many things are coming together and making you a better surfer every day. Here you can spend all day in the water if you want to. Breakfast, surf, sun, fun and maybe some more yoga.
The adventure is over for now. You can book another 10 days or explore the rest of this amazing country. Check out time is 11:00, but you can of course hang around if you are leaving later in the day.
The schedule and program are subject to change without prior notice according to weather, waves and other factors.
