More information about Working Holiday in Australia

Farmer is not your only career path...

So if you're not one to get your hands dirty, rest assured! Working on a farm or ''ranch'', as they call it is far from your only option when it comes to earning money in Australia. Yes, the traditional fruit picking is still an option, but there are plenty of opportunities in hospitality, especially during the Australian summer season. For example, we recently caught up with Amarins who spent some months working at a hostel in Sydney and had the time of her life doing so. There are plenty of other fun jobs around, though this blog is not here for the perfect career advice. Instead, we'd like to inspire you and assure you that you definitely don't need thousands and thousands of euros to treat yourself with that big once-in-a-lifetime adventure. We just have to be a little more creative, and for that you have come to the right place.

So, it's mainly about the pennies?

Not really, while taking a Working Holiday is a great way to finance your travels, there's way more to it than that. First of all, you get to stay longer and truly experience the destination country and culture. You will also gain valuable international work experience, and learn to deal with a new country, its people and its quirks. But more importantly, you'll make a whole lotta' friends in the process, both among locals and other travellers.

So, how do I find that desired job?

Well, to be honest, there's not one road to success here. But if you want yourself lined up for the best job opportunities we suggest to partake in a Working Holiday Meet Me package. With one of these, you get help from professionals in setting up everything you need, access to a job board for 12 months and even direct placements through our partner's inhouse recruitment service. The best thing though, is that we'll take you on a tour of your new surroundings with many activities included. It's a surefire way to make new friends and get to know Australia, whether you're landing in Sydney or Melbourne.

Starting in Sydney

Our intro package in Sydney is designed to give you the best possible welcome to Australia and the city, while giving you the support you need to find your dream job down under.

As soon as you land in Sydney, you'll be welcomed into a community of like-minded travelers who are just as excited as you are to explore all that Australia has to offer. Throughout your intro tour, you'll form new friendships and share unforgettable experiences together. We've thrown in a lot of inclusions so you'll have a great time together.

Our private catamaran tour of Sydney Harbour will give you a chance to take in the city's iconic landmarks and views, and you'll feel like you're on top of the world as you leave the city behind for a day of hiking and sightseeing in the breathtaking Blue Mountains. Of course, no intro week in Australia is complete without some time at the beach. We'll take you on beach walks and surfing lessons with MOJO surf, giving you the chance to catch some waves and soak up the sun before returning to the hostel to get ready for a group dinner.

But we're not just here to show you a good time. Our Meet Me package is designed to provide you with the support you need to make the most of your working holiday. We'll help you find your feet in your new home and offer assistance in finding your dream job down under.

And what about Melbourne?

In case you rather start your working holiday season in Melbourne we've created a package just as good, with the same awesome job support, just in a different city. This means the inclusions are tailored to Melbourne as well.

Among others, there's a trip to Grampians National Park the perfect spot for some kangaroo spotting. There are some refreshing waterfalls and stunning nature around as well. During your intro week the program takes you to the Great Ocean Road, one of the world's most scenic coastal drives, Marvel at the Twelve Apostles and other breathtaking coastal sights.

But it's not only about sightseeing, but also about finding new palls to hang out with in what's going to be your home country for the coming months. You'll have plenty of time for socialising and bonding at the Peninsula Hot Springs while dipping in the natural hot pools. During the evenings you'll meet up with the group over dinner, bonding over shared experiences and past adventures.

While we're here to ensure you have a great time, we're also committed to providing the backing you need to make the most of your working holiday. We'll help you find your feet in your new home and cater to your job and work related needs during your entire time in Australia.
