How does Washington State and California sound?
Grab the chance to study your first quarter (September - December) at Green River College in Washington State. The college stretches over 180 acres of gorgeous forested land close to mountains and rivers. You can spend your spare time hiking, skiing or visiting the big city Seattle not too far away. When it starts to get really cold you move to sunny California, spending a semester (January - May) at Santa Barbara City College while you enjoy American football, cheerleaders and Hollywood. Studying at two different colleges gives you the opportunity to try out many courses and experience more of the US. You really get the best of both worlds.
... or what about Washington State and Hawaii?
Green Rive College is a great place to spend the first part of your gap year (September - December ). They take such good care of their international students and make sure everyone has friends. You will find nice student apartments on campus, so you don’t have to worry about finding a place to live and making friends. Once you have had a great welcome to the US lifestyle you will transfer to Kapi’olani Community College in Honolulu, Hawaii (January - May). The island is like no other place with long sandy beaches, volcanos, and lots of local culture. You can join one of the 70+ clubs and travel the island when you are not studying.
... or do you want to combine USA with either Australia or New Zealand?
This gap year package gives you the opportunity to literally travel two parts of the world. You will start your studies at Green River College (September - December), experiencing the endless outdoor activities and the many great courses you can choose from. The following 10 weeks (January - March) you would spend in the Australian and New Zealand summer – filled with the most amazing scenery. Don’t worry about tuition and housing as that is included when you pay tuition to Green River College. In the end you return to Washington State and complete one final quarter at Green River College (April - June). You will truly have a once in a lifetime experience and come back home more mature and ready for new challenges.
