Go to Costa Rica for three weeks to deepen your own personal yoga practice and become a certified yoga teacher. You will live close to the sea and get the chance to combine your yoga teacher training with surfing – another flow-based practice.

Costa Rica is known for its' beautiful beaches, volcanoes, and biodiversity. Here you will get to experience the Costa Rican ‘pura vida’ lifestyle, as the yoga program has a focus on the purification of mind, body, and spirit through yogic purification techniques. Top this off with a yogic diet based on local tropical fruits and vegetables to complete your experience. Intrigued much already?

You will live in Mal Pais just steps away from the Pacific Ocean, so surfing lessons and beach time are built into your schedule. But don’t worry – yoga is still the main ingredients in your 3 week inner journey. You will wake up every morning and start your yoga training with a peaceful morning meditation surrounded by lush green palm trees and tropical flowers. It will be the perfect place for you to relax, enhance your yoga practice and find your way - ultimately being able to refer to yourself as a yoga teacher.

The Yoga Teacher Training is a 21-day program divided into four cycles of 4 days with a day off in between each. Every morning starts out peacefully with a calm sunrise meditation with a stunning view of the lake, pranayama, and asana practice. This is followed by an organic breakfast to nourish your body before you go on to your daily teachings. You will learn yogic theory and healing practices though interactive workshops, classes, and dynamic group discussions. You will cover areas such as yogic living, anatomy, mediation, cleansing practices, Ayurveda and much more. And you will of course cover several yogic traditions such as Hatha, Yin and Restorative. You will end the evenings in a community gathering which may include meditation, kirtan, chanting or sacred circle to connect and release the day’s challenges and triumphs.

On your days off you have time to explore more of Costa Rica. It gives you some extra time for surfing lessons or relaxation at one of the many nearby beaches. Or go a completely different way and challenge yourself with some horseback riding. There is plenty to see and do!

You can enhance or begin your yoga journey with us, as the program is available for both beginners and advanced. The most important thing is not your yoga skills – it is your desire to fully immerse yourself in the course and dare to go on a journey of personal development as you do. No matter how you start, you will leave feeling empowered and with the skills to teach others and use your learnings in your everyday life.
