While the Croatian coast is not the biggest in Europe, in the last ten years it has become more and more popular. Some areas are getting more fame than others, but the best way to see which coast is best is to visit them all!

On this tour, you will start in the north and work your way to the most southern part of the coastal area of the country. Start the tour in the 3rd biggest city of Croatia, Rijeka. From here, catch a ferry to the island of Rab. Explore the island on your own and learn more about how the tiny island of Goli Otok played a big role during Communist Yugoslavian times, as a prison for the political enemies of the ruling party. Continue by ferry to the town of Zadar, famous for its ancient history that includes many monuments from Roman, Byzantium and Venetian times. From here, leave the ancient historical sites and travel to the national park, Paklenica, for some hiking and kayaking. This break will give you an insight about how this country is not only rich in history and coastal beauty, but mountains as well. Your next stop will be Split, where you will have a guided tour to give you insight abouyt how a Roman palace grew into the 2nd largest city of Croatia. Leave the mainland once again and travel to the protected area of Lastovo, where, together with local fisherman, you will embark on open seas, in search for your lunch. After Lastovo, your next destination will be Korcula, the famous island in the south coast, that throughout different periods of history was used as pirate base, and as an Austro-Hungarian fort against the Ottoman Empire. Enjoy the peace of this island with few glasses of wine, that Greek settlers brought with them, millenniums ago. Finish your adventure in the Jewel of Adriatic, Dubrovnik. Situated on small peninsula, in the history this tiny city-state was the biggest rival of the mighty Venezian Empire. Walk on the preserved roads and enjoy the sunset in one of many beach bars.
