Itinerary

Panama City to Bogota Travel Pass

Day 1: San Blas Islands, Panama

Get picked up at your accommodation in Panama City and transferred to your island. Upon arrival, get settled in and enjoy an excursion to discover your lush surroundings.

Transfer Panama City - San Blas Chichime Islands (L/D)
You will be picked up at your accommodation in Panama City early this morning and taken on an exciting ride through the jungle on 4x4 transportation. You will have the option to stop at a supermarket to purchase last-minute items such as water, snacks, beverages and grab something for breakfast. We will then make another stop to pass through immigration formalities and pay the entrance fees to Kuna Yala Islands (not included in standard package).
We will continue our way to the dock where you will meet your boat to take a shared transfer to your island. Upon arrival, get settled in and enjoy an excursion to discover the breathtaking surroundings of this pristine place.
Please note that there are not a lot of goods available for purchase on the islands and we strongly recommend taking advantage of the grocery store stop to stock up on snacks and bottled water.
*Note: This "Comarca" is a paradise where it is only allowed to people from its community to work there, tourism is something new to them, their infrastructure is currently under development and service might not be entirely satisfactory in some cases.

Day 2: San Blas Islands, Panama

After an exciting island day, enjoy the rest of the day free to explore the island. Opt to swim, snorkel or hire a boat and visit a traditional Kuna Yala village.

San Blas Chichime Islands (B/L/D)
Enjoy a fresh breakfast with the sounds of the waves on the shore. Today you will take on a day tour in Natural Pool, a sandbar in the middle of the sea that serves as a home for starfish. There you can take amazing photos, swim and relax in an idyllic setting. But ?? remember not to take the stars out of the water!
After Natural Pool you will visit to Fragata Island, opt to swim or snorkel around your island in the crystal clear turquoise waters to spot colourful tropical fish among coral reefs or simply spend time relaxing on a hammock. Also, you will have the chance to visit one of the most famous islands in San Blas: Dog Island, get delighted by this beautiful scenery with the cleanest water. This is one of the top snorkelling places in Guna Yala. It's a top snorkelling place because of the old navy shipwreck of a gunboat. If the tide is low you can see its rusty bow sticking out of the sea when the tide is up you can snorkel over and around it and find yourself in a magical place full of life.
Hire a boat and visit a traditional Kuna Yala village of this archipelago, where you can purchase handmade souvenirs to contribute to the community (optional activity at extra cost, inquire upon arrival). Spend the evenings watching the horizon turn different shades of red and pink as the sun sets over the Caribbean.

Day 3: Panama City, Panama

Return to Panama City and be dropped off at your accommodation in the afternoon.

Say goodbye to your piece of natural paradise this morning for your scenic one-hour return trip to the dock by boat and 4x4 transportation ride back to Panama City, and be dropped off at your accommodation in the afternoon.

Day 4: Medellin, Colombia

Transfer from Panama City to Medellin
You will be transferred to Panama City airport in time for your flight to Medellin.

Day 5: Medellin, Colombia

Visit the most iconic places and attractions of Medellin and take the Metro and the Metrocable, an aerial public transport, to see the city from above during this tour in the most innovative city in Colombia.

This Medellin City Tour will take you to iconic places such as the Parque de las Esculturas, also known as Plaza Botero, an urban space that exhibits 23 sculptures by local artist Fernando Botero. You will also visit the Parque de Los Pies Descalzos, a space full of gardens and bamboo that invite children and adults to play barefoot and connect with nature. Other important attractions that you will see during this tour of Medellin are the Parque de Los Deseos, located next to the House of Music, the Planetarium, the Explora Park and the University of Antioquia. To end this visit to the iconic places of Medellin, we will take you to the Cerro Nuibara where you will find Pueblito Paisa, a replica of a typical town in the department of Antioquia (known as paisas), with a variety of restaurants and souvenir shops to take home. During the tour, you can take the Metro and the Metrocable, an aerial public transport system that connects to the outer zone of Medellin, where you can see the city from above and learn more about its social composition and its development in today's society. This city tour is the perfect introduction to Medellin, as it provides travelers with an overview of the most important points of interest and attractions in the city.

Day 6: Manizales, Colombia

Transfer from Medellin to Manizales
Please make your own way to the bus station to catch your bus to Bogota.

Day 7: Hacienda Venecia, Colombia

Take a morning transfer from Manizales to Hacienda Venecia, a 100-year-old working coffee farm, for a 3-hour tour to learn the detailed process, culture and history of coffee roasting. Overnight at the hacienda.

Coffee Tour (L)
In the morning, you will be picked-up from your accommodation and transferred to Hacienda Venecia, a working coffee farm with 100 years of history and tradition, declared part of the cultural and landscape heritage, by UNESCO in 2009. During the 3-hour tour, you will receive a detailed explanation about the processing of coffee, which includes learning the culture, history and varieties of coffee, watching the roasting process, experimenting with scents and flavors, walking through the coffee plantations and visiting the wet mill, where the coffee is washed, dried and packaged. You will also visit the main house gardens which hold 100 years of history, and are a symbol of the typical architecture of the region. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure and overnight at the Hacienda.

Day 8: Manizales, Colombia

Today you will enjoy free time to relax in this beautiful natural atmosphere before taking a shared transfer back to Manizales.

Transfer to Manizales & End of Trip (B)
Make your own breakfast before saying goodbye to your new friends. After checking-out from your accommodation, you will take a shared transfer back to Manizales 17:00 where this amazing adventure will come to an end.
Note: A transportation is available at 14:00 from Hacienda Venecia to the main highway (included in the value of the package) where you can take a bus to Manizales (not included).

Day 9: Bogota, Colombia

Transfer from Manizales to Bogota
Please make your own way to the bus station to catch your bus to Bogota.

Day 10: Bogota, Colombia

Discover the emblematic spots of Colombia's capital, accompanied by an expert local guide that will turn your excursion into a fantastic experience. Visit all the must-see sights as well as Bogota's best-kept secrets.

The panoramic tour through Bogota begins in 93 Park, a well known commercial area packed with restaurants and high-end stores. You will also visit the T Zone of Bogota, very sought out by tourists thanks to its enchanting bars and cafes. The next stop of this Bogota City Tour will be the emblematic neighborhood Usaquen, a place where you will appreciate Bogota's creativity expressed through its beautiful artisanry. Right after, you will head to the city center to walk around the streets of La Candelaria, known for its particular colonial balconies and for being one of the areas that has best conserved the past of this capital city. In downtown Bogota, you will also visit the Bolivar Plaza and the Chorro de Quevedo, two must-see tourist spots in the Colombian capital. Finally, you will make your last stop at the Monserrate station and, if you choose (the cable car or chairlift is not included in the price), you can go up to one of most breathtaking lookout points in Bogota, located at 3,150 above sea level. Upon finishing the tour, the driver and guide will be waiting to take you to a central meeting point in the city.
