Whilst you're here make sure you see the iconic symbol of American independence, the Liberty Bell, and Independence Hall. Feeling a little peckish? Make a beeline for the Reading Terminal Market where you might want to tuck into a famous Philly cheesesteak for lunch - yum! Then it's onto another awesome city, Washington DC, for an introduction to the political, social and cultural history of the USA. Join an included bike tour led by a local to visit the stunning monuments and get to know your way around this beautiful city. Take time to explore the very best of America's capital city by people watching in one of the many green parks or explore the Smithsonian National Museums, the world's largest museum complex.

Days 3 North Carolina

As you head south, watch as mountain views begin to morph into swamps, plantations and palms. Beautiful scenery will constantly be flying by your window as you make your way to your campsite for the night. Then there's only one thing left to do: devour s'mores around a roaring campfire. What are s'mores? Melted chocolate and marshmallow heated over a fire and sandwiched between two crackers. We're pretty sure it'll be the best thing you've ever tasted!

Days 4 Charleston

Charleston is the oldest city in South Carolina, this place just oozes character - and what better way to experience it than with a stroll along the coast? Take photos of the Morris Island Lighthouse that stands far offshore or jump aboard an optional Charleston water taxi, where you can spot some interesting wildlife. Experience the ultimate taste of the South with a Charleston Nasty Biscuit, a chicken biscuit (which is actually more like a scone) covered in gravy. Sounds gross, right? But it's delicious and a favourite with the locals!

Days 5 St. Augustine

St Augustine is the oldest continually inhabited European settlement on US soil, more commonly known as the ??Nation's Oldest City'. Wander down the narrow lanes, visit the many museums and explore some of the city's iconic landmarks such as the Spanish-influenced Plaza de la Constitucion and the ??Fountain of Youth'.

Days 6-7 Miami

The wonderful city of Miami beckons with miles of golden sand beaches and palm trees; it is easy to see why people flock here. Days 12 Destin Beach

After all the thrills and excitement in Orlando, it's time to chill out - and what better place to do it than on miles of pristine white sandy beach alongside the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico? Welcome to paradise! Relax with some lazy beach time lying in a hammock or hit the water. Destin simmers into the evening too, so make sure you pack your dancing shoes as well as your flip-flops.

Days 13-14 New Orleans

New Orleans oozes Deep South charm, so pull up a chair in the French Quarter to watch the world go by and grab a po-boy, bowl of gumbo or some home-cooked jambalaya for a taste of the South - or a delicious sugary beignet if you've got more of a sweet tooth! If the food of the Deep South gets your mouth watering why not join a cookery course at the New Orleans School of Cookery, so you can make life back home a little tastier with your new-found skills? For something a little different, opt for a 'Voodoo and Graveyard' tour or cruise along the Mississippi River on a traditional steamboat. By night, party hard in legendary Bourbon Street, hear the world-class jazz for which New Orleans is renowned at Preservation Hall, or explore the bars in Frenchmen Street for live music and dancing without the crowds.

Nothing says Wyoming more than a good dose of rodeo and a Stetson, so if you're in town from June to August, why not check out Cody's summer rodeo.

Days 53 Mount Rushmore

We bet you never thought you'd see the faces of some of America's most loved presidents peering out from the side of a cliff face? Well that's exactly what you can expect to see at Mount Rushmore, in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The sculpture features presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln and it's pretty darn huge with 18 metre high faces, more than 150 metres up.
