The Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves in Africa covering an area of 19,485 square kilometres. It is home to more than 500 bird species, 100 reptile species and 150 mammal species, including the Big 5 and the endangered African wild dog. Our Kruger tours will offer you an unforgettable experience as they are perfect for anyone interested South African wildlife and conservation.
Itinerary

3 Day Kruger Safari - Treehouse

Day 1

You are picked up from your hostel or Johannesburg Airport and travel via Dullstroom to Marc's Treehouse Lodge in the Motlala Game Reserve, where we board an open Landcruiser for a sunset drive in this Big Five Game Reserve. After dark, spotlights are used to locate nocturnal animals. Dinner and treehouse accommodation with bed and bedding, towel and soap, electric light, mosquito nets and fan. (D)

Day 2

After breakfast, we spend the day travelling through the Orpen Gate of Kruger. Due to the added elevation and because it has no windows, the open-sided game viewer allows for excellent viewing and photographic opportunities. A qualified guide accompanies you to show the various animals that frequent this outstanding wildlife environment. The Orpen Gate of Kruger provides the highest percentage population of giraffe, zebra and antelope, which then again attract numerous lions and other predators. Dinner and treehouse accommodation at Marc’s Treehouse Lodge. (B, D)

Day 3

The day starts with an early morning bush walk accompanied by an armed ranger, who is able to show you various interesting details of the bush, for example, insects, spoor and scats. Additionally, you get an excellent chance of encountering buffalo, nyala and other game on foot. After breakfast we drive to the Three Rondawels of the Blyde River Canyon before we drop you off at the hostel or airport in Johannesburg at around 17:00. (B)

Accommodation

2 nights' accommodation in a treehouse at Marc's Treehouse Lodge. Every treehouse is equipped with a private bathroom, comfortable beds and linen, electric fans, mosquito nets, towels and soap. Even though a little rustic, the treehouses offer a unique chance to be in close contact with the sights, sounds and scents of the wild as the viewing deck overlooks the Klaserie River where animals often come to drink. The Treehouse Lodge also has a swimming pool, 24-hour WiFi, a bush bar and a rustic boma where your delicious dinners are served.

Local transport

Return transfer from/to Johannesburg is included.
