Why not combine an adventure in Portugal with some volunteering along the way? There are a few different projects to choose between, and for how long is up to you. But beware that minimum duration is 1 week.
Which projects can I join in Portugal?
Currently we're working together with 3 different volunteer projects in Portugal. They are very different from each other, so there really should be something for everyone.
One project is a very popular wolf conservation project, where wolves are helped being brought back to nature. An incredible opportunity to live and work at the Iberian Wolf Recovery Centre, working towards the conservation and protection of this endangered species in beautiful surroundings - This project is just slightly outside of Lisbon and you live at the centre.
Another project is a food rescue project in Lisbon. Has never been more relevant as proven by 22 million people downloading the Danish App "To Good To Go" in 14 European countries since 2016, on this project volunteers gather food that would other wise be wasted from local restaurants and cafes and redistribute it to those on low incomes.
Marine Conservation is also an option, where you can learn about marine environmental issues, and where you help cleaning up the ocean.
