Deakin’s Melbourne campus is located in the eastern suburb of Burwood, 30 min from the centre of Melbourne. The campus is home to about 20,000 students and is known for its excellent facilities and innovative architecture.
Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus
The campus is located in Geelong Waurn Ponds in the western outskirts of Geelong, 72 kilometres southwest of Melbourne. The campus is located in a beautiful, landscaped area and offer extensive sporting facilities for the active student. About 8,000 students are based here.
Geelong Waterfront Campus
Explore the cutting edge research programs and custom-built facilities of Deaking’s architecture and construction management programs. You will have a great time at this bustling community, close to transport, cafes, shops, nature and the beach.
Warnambool Campus
The Warnambool campus is located in a small regional town on the banks of the picturesque river Hopkins, close to local surf beaches and popular tourist attractions. Warnambool is the smallest of Deakin’s campuses with a few thousands students.
All of Deakin’s campuses offer on-campus accommodation in either furnished shared apartments or single rooms. This is recommended for new students who are looking for new friends and to become familiar with the neighbourhood. Deakin also has an off-campus housing service that can assist you with rental application forms, understanding your rights etc. if you are looking for accommodation outside of campus.

How and when to apply at Deakin University
Deakin has a trimester system. This means you can start your studies in either March, July or November.
Deakin University has continuous admission, and we recommend you to contact us as soon as you know you are thinking about studying at Deakin. We do not want you to miss any deadlines! The exact entry requirements vary depending on the specific degree you want to apply for or if you want to do a study abroad (1-2 trimesters). Generally speaking, Deakin requires an average level of academic performance and will evaluate your application in relation to your past and current studies, your grades and the courses that you are currently enrolled in.
In most cases, Deakin can consider the English results from your Upper Secondary School Leaving Certificate. If you do not meet the requirements, you will be required to take either a standardized English language test like the TOEFL or the IELTS test or you can make use of Deakins own free writing English test.
